West Nile virus confirmed in mosquitoes from Kingston (Kingston Reporter)
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) announced that a West Nile virus (WNV) mosquito sample collected from Kingston on Sept. 5, tested positive for West Nile virus. In 2007, mosquito samples were tested for West Nile virus and 65 samples were positive. The good news is the species of mosquito is known to be a bird biter.
